I guess this is where it all begins. I’m not sure where this journey will take me, but it is time to find out.
This is Sienno and it’s my new company. What does it do? That is still a little fuzzy. My background is in web development and my passion is around e-commerce so my current plan is to focus on those areas. Who am I? My name is Bryan. I’ve never started a company before but after 10 years and counting in the corporate world I figured I would give it a try in my spare time. Of course, with a full time job and a 14 month old son free time is scarce. Nevertheless, I want to give it a go and see where it takes me.
Most companies work in secret for weeks, months, even years before making a grand announcement about their product, service, store, etc. I’m doing things differently. I’m going to post the whole way as I go for two reasons. First, the selfish reason, is that I’d like to be able to look back and see what I’ve done. Second, I want to provide insight to others that come along after me. I want people who find this blog to be able to see the steps I’ve followed to create a company and maybe it will help them to do things faster and better. Heck, even in these first few days I realize that I could/should have done some things in a different order.
That’s probably a good segway into my next blog post. I hope you enjoy coming along for the ride wherever it may go.
